Interior decoration has definitely taken a swing toward metal wall decors being the “in thing.”

A metal wall décor can be comprised of several different materials – such as wrought iron, stainless steel, copper, or brass. Among all of those, wrought iron is probably the most popular one because of its characteristics as a metal. It’s flexible enough to form any shape or design one can imprint it with. Since it can be mass produced, the price of the pieces is relatively cheaper when compared to other accessories of other makes.

Way back when, wrought iron was used to produce items used for warfare or common things used in everyday settings. Gates, fences, window frames, horseshoes, arrowheads and swords are among the finished products of wrought iron. And in modern day they can be seen as aesthetic and functional pieces for your home. Having said that, if you haven’t brought in wrought iron pieces to your home, then get on it! Here are a few must-have wrought iron pieces.

One way to make a space look bigger is by hanging a mirror. A wrought iron mirror that has intricate curves and patterns look gorgeous on walls and can maybe spur a conversation or two in a home. Or at least you have something that looks good to look at yourself looking good in.

Wrought Iron Wall Grilles

These usually contain classical patterns such as fleur de lis and leaves on a vine. They can get very large so they are best to be hung alone on a huge white wall.

Metal Wall Plaques

These are usually smaller than metal wall grilles. They are more solid and generally sold in groups of three or four. They are meant to be hung together on one wall. Their embossed designs will convey a smooth movement or fluidity to your home. They are the perfect way to adorn narrow walls.

There you have it. Now get out there and start decorating!
